Domiciliary Carer – Darlington

Location: Darlington, County Durham

Pay: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour

Travel Allowance: 29p per mile

Holiday: 28 days per year, pro rata

Contract: Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Bolt Care Services is looking for caring, compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Carers to join our team in Darlington.

The role

As a Domiciliary Carer, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing personal care and support with dignity and respect

Supporting clients with their daily routines and activities

Providing companionship and emotional support

Supporting with meal preparation and food service

Assisting with medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures

Supporting with shopping, errands and household tasks where required

Supporting individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and other care needs

Providing respite and additional support to families and informal carers

Supporting clients following hospital discharge

Reporting changes in a client's condition or wellbeing to the appropriate member of the care team

Maintaining accurate and professional care records

Promoting independence, choice and dignity at all times

What we're looking for

We are looking for people who are:

Caring, compassionate and genuinely interested in supporting others

Reliable, responsible and punctual

Respectful of people's privacy, dignity and individual choices

Able to communicate effectively with clients, families and colleagues

Comfortable working independently in clients' homes

Flexible and willing to work a range of shifts, including weekends where required

Committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Previous care experience is desirable, although we are also interested in hearing from applicants who have the right values, attitude and commitment to care.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for this role due to the nature of domiciliary care and travelling between clients.

£13.50 – £14.00 per hour

29p per mile travel allowance
