Gateman / Gate Person - Construction Site
2 Positions Available
We are looking for 2 reliable and experienced Gatemen / Gate Persons to join a busy construction site for a major development project.
Start Date: 2nd November
Duration: Up to 2 years
Project: Construction of 68 flats, a Medical Centre and a Community Centre
The Role
The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the site entrance and helping to maintain a safe, secure and well-organised construction site.
Duties will include:
Controlling access and egress to the construction site
Checking and directing deliveries and vehicles
Recording visitors and deliveries
Communicating with site management and delivery drivers
Assisting with traffic management around the site entrance
Keeping the entrance and surrounding area safe and tidy
Monitoring site access and reporting any issues to management
Following all site health and safety procedures
Supporting the site team with general gate duties as required
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Gateman / Gate Person on a construction site is preferred
Valid CSCS card appropriate for the role
Good communication skills
Reliable and punctual
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Good awareness of health and safety
Professional and courteous manner when dealing with visitors, residents and delivery drivers
