Summary
We have a vacancy for an experienced manager to lead our busy Precast Stairs department on our Workington site. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership skills, a commitment to health and safety, and the ability to drive performance while maintaining high quality standards.
The successful candidate will manage and motivate a team of operatives to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, support and develop a production team to achieve daily output targets.
• Ensure all products are manufactured to the required quality standards.
• Monitor productivity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a strong health and safety culture.
• Ensure machinery, equipment and tools are used and maintained in accordance with training and safe operating procedures.
• Provide coaching, feedback and performance management to team members.
• Work closely with with Production managers to plan and organise workloads to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Liaise with senior management to report on production performance and operational issues.
• Promote teamwork, accountability and a positive working environment.
