Summary
Aiden is a fun-loving and sociable man in his 30’s who lives in the Airdrie area. He loves a chat, enjoys a good joke and is looking for a Personal Assistant who will take the time to get to know him, respect his choices and support him to live life in the way he wants.
Aiden enjoys football, watching TV, going out for a pint, playing pool and visiting the cinema when there is a film he really wants to see. He also likes attending his clubs, going shopping and spending time out and about in his community.
As Aiden’s Personal Assistant, you will help him enjoy the activities and places that matter to him. You will also provide practical support at home, including preparing and cooking meals, general tidying, assisting with dressing, and helping him use his electric or manual wheelchair.
Aiden would be well matched with someone who is friendly, chatty and fun-loving, with a good sense of humour. You should also be able to offer clear and consistent support when needed. Being trustworthy, proactive and dependable is important, along with a genuine commitment to person-centred support. Experience in a care role is welcome but not essential as the right personality and attitude are just as important. Training will be provided for medication support, seizure response and first aid.
