Summary
As care assistant in Parkside Outpatients you will be expected to be an enthusiastic and well organised member of the team. You will be patient facing and responsible for running clinics for our private consultants to the highest of standards.
You will work alongside trained members of staff assisting consultants with procedures and chaperoning during examinations.
You will be expected to perform clinical tests such as phlebotomy and ECG's as well as supporting with our pre operative service and these clinical skills are essential to apply for this role.
Due to the nature of private patients we require someone who can work flexibly with their hours and will on occasion be willing to cover at our private outpatient unit at Heatherwood Hospital.
Please note this is a front facing clinical role where a high level of spoken and written English language is required. Please do not use AI software for completion of your application for this role.
You currently must be in the UK and have current experience of working in a UK outpatient (or similar such as GP/dental clinic) setting as a HCA.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will work under direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse/Nursing Associate. You will be primarily assisting the nursing team with care of the patients and will facilitate the smooth running of the department.
As a member of the ward/department team you will always support clinically your registrant colleagues and act in the best interest of patients. With this role we expect that everyone is treated with respect and dignity and values others’ beliefs whilst delivering clinical care.
This is a clinical front facing role where excellent customer care skills are expected to be delivered to patients, relatives, carers, and colleagues.

• Meeting and greeting patients
• Supporting queries both over phone and face to face for patients and consultants
