Summary

We are currently recruiting for the role of Service Advisor on behalf of an established automotive business in Daventry. The Service Advisor position offers a competitive basic salary of up to £32,000, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and no weekend commitments. This is an excellent Service Advisor opportunity for experienced Service Advisors or those with relevant customer service experience within the motor trade seeking career progression.

Duties:

- Book vehicles into the workshop for servicing, repairs, and MOTs

- Welcome customers and provide a professional, courteous service

- Discuss customer requirements and accurately record vehicle concerns

- Prepare and raise job cards

- Liaise with the workshop team to monitor workload and progress

- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process

- Discuss additional work and explain recommended repairs clearly

- Prepare invoices and coordinate vehicle collections

- Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction

- Handle general enquiries to ensure a smooth customer journey from start to finish

Requirements:

- Previous Service Advisor experience is preferred

- Alternatively, experience in a similar customer service role within the motor trade

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Professional and friendly demeanour

- Organised with the ability to manage multiple jobs efficiently

- Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills

- Confident in discussing vehicle repairs and recommendations

- Genuine interest in the automotive industry

You do not necessarily need to have held the specific role of Service Advisor if you possess relevant customer service experience in the motor trade and demonstrate the right attitude.
