The role is based within a local transport operation, helping customers receive consignments safely, efficiently and on time.The opportunityWe are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy daytime delivery operation in Avonmouth. This temporary position is suited to a reliable driver who is confident completing multidrop work and providing a professional service at each delivery point.Key responsibilities• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly• Completing more than 10 deliveries per day• Loading, securing and checking goods before departure• Following planned routes and delivery instructions• Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining proof of delivery• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects• Representing the business professionally when dealing with customersSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence• Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)• Valid digital tachograph card• Previous multidrop delivery experience, ideally involving more than 10 drops per day• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers’ hours requirements• Reliable, organised and punctual approach• Professional communication and customer service skills• Ability to work independently and manage a busy delivery scheduleBenefits• £16 to £17 per hour• Day shifts• Temporary work• Paid every Wednesday• Opportunity to be visible to local employersIf you are an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver seeking temporary daytime work in Avonmouth, apply today.
