Thank you for your interest in joining our Multi Academy Trust. This recruitment pack provides information about the HR Contracts Officer role supporting five schools across the Trust.
Job Purpose
To lead and manage recruitment administration, pre-employment checking and contractual documentation processes across the Trust. To liaise with our external HR advisory service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed on time.
- Prepare and issue contracts and variation letters accurately.
- Ensure recruitment arrangements are in place for vacancies.
- Maintain HR records and support payroll processes.
- Support Single Central Record compliance.
Detailed Person Specification
- Qualifications: CIPD Level 3 or equivalent HR qualification/experience (Essential). CIPD Level 5 desirable.
- Professional Experience: Experience in HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, contracts management and maintaining confidential records.
- Recruitment & Safer Recruitment: Knowledge of DBS, references, right-to-work, qualifications and safeguarding checks.
- Employment Contracts: Ability to prepare accurate contracts, amendments and employment correspondence.
- HR Compliance: Understanding of employment legislation, GDPR and Single Central Record requirements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships.
- Organisation & Planning: Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Technology & Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
- Personal Attributes: Professional, trustworthy, discreet, customer-focused and able to work independently.
- Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Reporting Structure
Key relationships include Headteachers, School Business Managers, Payroll Provider and Trust Leadership Team.
