Summary
Key responsibilities Undertake comprehensive clinical assessment of patients. Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic presentations. Provide autonomous clinical decision-making within your scope of practice. Develop and implement appropriate treatment and management plans. Prescribe safely and appropriately within your professional scope. Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other services. Recognise and manage deteriorating or acutely unwell patients. Provide appropriate safety-netting and follow-up. Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team. Support continuity and high-quality patient-centred care. Contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement. Participate in clinical meetings and MDT working. Support and contribute to the education and development of colleagues where appropriate. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and high-quality clinical records. Work within professional standards, practice policies and clinical governance frameworks.
