Summary
Step Teachers are working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Palmers Green to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 or Year 4 Teacher for a long-term supply role commencing in January 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who can inspire young learners, deliver engaging lessons and make a positive impact during a key stage of their primary education.
The Role
- Full class teaching responsibilities within a Year 1 or Year 4 class.
- Planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1/2.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for all pupils.
- Has strong communication and organisational skills.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.

Requirements
Due to the school's requirements, applicants who hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service will be viewed favourably. If you do not currently hold a DBS, one can be arranged through Step Teachers subject to the necessary eligibility and identity checks.All applicants will be subject to:
