Summary

Hygiene Operative for our client's leading food manufacturing site, which specialises in producing high-quality cooked and prepared food products for major retailers, food-service providers, and customers across the UK.
Staffline is recruiting Hygiene Operatives in
Huntingdon.
The rate of pay is
£12.78 per hour.
This is a full-time role working a convenient rotating shift pattern. The hours of work are:
- 2 weeks -
6am to 2pm
- Followed by 2 weeks -
2pm to 10pm
Your Time at Work
As a Hygiene Operative your duties include:
- Clean production equipment and machinery in line with cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures to maintain high food safety standards.
- Maintain excellent hygiene standards across the factory, ensuring all work areas are kept clean, safe, and audit-ready at all times.
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored, handled, and used correctly while following all health and safety procedures.
- Process waste streams correctly and support environmental initiatives, including waste reduction and recycling activities.
- Assist with production line changeovers and housekeeping duties to minimise downtime and support operational efficiency.
- Support production teams when required and work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and values.

What we're looking for:
- Standing and walking for long periods during the shift.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle cleaning equipment and materials.
- Working in a food production environment while wearing PPE.
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and maintain attention to detail throughout the shift.
- Well organised with the ability to manage cleaning schedules and complete tasks to a high standard.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and take responsibility for maintaining hygiene standards.
- Team player who can work effectively with colleagues across hygiene, production, and quality departments.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Good English reading skills to understand cleaning schedules, safety information, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and health & safety.
Previous cleaning, hygiene, or production experience is preferred but not essential as full training is provided.
