Your new company
An established organisation with a significant capital investment programme is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of major projects across their estate. Working within a client-side environment, you will oversee a portfolio of strategically important projects and play a key role in shaping the future development of the organisation's estate and infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to move into a broader programme delivery position with increased strategic responsibility.
Your new role
You will lead the delivery of high-value capital projects from inception through to completion and provide leadership across wider programme activities.
Projects may include:
- New-build developments
- Major refurbishment projects
- Campus developments
- M&E estate improvement projects
- Sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives
- Strategic capital investment programmes
- Developing project strategies and delivery plans.
- Managing project teams and external consultants.
- Leading procurement and tender processes.
- Managing programme budgets and reporting.
- Overseeing governance and risk management activities.
- Presenting to senior leadership teams and project boards.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed objectives.
- Driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Key responsibilities include:
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree-qualified in Construction, Surveying, Engineering or Project Management.
- Proven experience delivering major capital projects.
- Strong client-side project management experience.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction procurement routes and contract administration.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Strong commercial, financial and governance experience.
Chartered status or working towards chartership through APM, CIOB, RICS or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
Experience within Higher Education, Local Government, Healthcare, or other complex commercial estates environments would be highly desirable.
