Location: Sunderland
Search Consultancy is looking for a skilled, time-served Bricklayer to join an active construction site in Sunderland. We are partnering with an established regional contractor requiring experienced bricklayers to carry out high-quality face brickwork and blockwork.
If you have a valid CSCS card, full trowel trade kit, and a strong work ethic, we have an immediate start available now.
The Role
Brick & Blockwork: Laying face bricks, concrete blocks, and internal leaf masonry to line, level, and plumb.
Substructure & Superstructure: Working on both groundworks/footings and external superstructure walls across commercial or residential builds.
Site Preparation: Mixing mortar (or managing mortar supply), setting out lines, damp-proof courses (DPC), and cavity wall insulation/wall ties.
Finishing: Pointing up joints cleanly to specified finishes (bucket handle, recessed, or weather-struck).
Requirements
CSCS Card: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Advanced Craft in Trowel Occupations preferred).
Experience: Time-served Bricklayer with proven commercial or housing development experience.
Tools & Kit: Full trowel trade tools (trowels, level, line & pins, jointer, hammer) and standard 5-point PPE.
Reliability: Strong speed and quality ratio with reliable timekeeping.
Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
