Hays Education is recruiting for a specialist SEN Teaching Assistant position within a highly supportive specialist education setting in Rugby. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidates.
You will be supporting students with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Your new role
- Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities
- Encourage independence, communication, and social development
- Support students with Autism, learning difficulties, complex needs, and additional learning requirements
- Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Enhanced Children & Adults DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to provide two employment references
- Right to work in the UK
