The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for a Cleansing Operative to help maintain a high standard of cleanliness across the Tamworth area.
This is a driving-based role, so applicants must have held a full manual UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
The role involves a variety of cleansing and grounds maintenance duties, including litter picking, bin emptying, fly-tipping removal and graffiti removal.
The Role
Your duties will include:
- Driving to various locations across the Tamworth area.
- Emptying public and commercial bins.
- Assisting with fly-tipping removal.
- Litter picking and keeping public areas clean and tidy.
- Removing graffiti.
- Carrying out jet washing where required.
- Supporting general grounds maintenance activities.
- Ensuring cleansing and grounds maintenance duties are completed to the required standards.
- Providing a professional and courteous service to members of the public.
- Working safely and effectively as part of a team.
- Completing tasks within agreed timescales and deadlines.
Working Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30-15:30
- 30-minute unpaid break
- £13.05 per hour
- Ongoing temporary assignment.
Requirements
A full manual UK driving licence held for at least 2 years is essential.
The successful candidate will also have:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or manual cleansing is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of bin emptying, fly-tipping removal, jet washing or graffiti removal would be advantageous.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good timekeeping and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A reliable and hardworking approach.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
