TeacherActive is recruiting a confident and reliable
Cover Supervisor to work full-time in a
mainstream secondary school in West Cardiff.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who is confident managing a classroom and wants to gain further experience within a secondary school environment.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
•
Provide
general classroom cover across a range of secondary subjects
•
Deliver pre-prepared work in the absence of the class teacher
•
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
•
Support pupils across
Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
•
Follow school policies and procedures
•
Work closely with teaching and support staff across the school
The Ideal Cover Supervisor
We are looking for someone who:
•
Has experience working with
secondary-aged pupils or young people
•
Has strong
behaviour and classroom management skills
•
Is confident, adaptable and professional
•
Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
•
Is available
full-time, Monday to Friday
•
Can confidently cover a variety of subjects
Previous experience as a
Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Learning Support Assistant or Unqualified Teacher would be advantageous.
