TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Brynmawr that is committed to providing an engaging and inclusive learning environment. The school promotes high expectations and encourages students to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for supervising lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their work and maintaining positive classroom behaviour.
The successful Cover Supervisor will have:
Experience working within a secondary school setting
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
The confidence to supervise students aged 11 to 16
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to follow lesson plans and deliver pre-set work
An enthusiastic, adaptable and committed approach to working with young people
The ability to build positive relationships with students
A reliable and professional approach
