Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Technician for our client, a reputable family-owned motor group in Preston. The MOT Technician will play a key role in delivering high-quality vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOT testing within a franchised environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated MOT Technician to advance their career in a supportive and professional setting.

Duties of a MOT Technician :

- Conduct road tests to diagnose faults accurately

- Perform routine inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards

- Carry out MOT tests in accordance with current regulations and maintain required accreditation

- Ensure work is completed within designated timeframes, maintaining productivity and quality standards

- Complete all documentation, job cards, and reports accurately and promptly

- Collaborate closely with the service reception and parts teams to ensure a seamless customer experience

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment

Requirements of a MOT Technician :

- Formal qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent)

- Current MOT Testing Licence

- Full UK driving licence with a clean record

- Strong technical skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service
