Summary
Your Skills and Expertise: Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience working with young adults with complex neurological needs, including cerebral palsy (CP) and other lifelong neurological conditions. Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Experience working with adults with neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, brain injury, neurodegenerative disease). Previously worked supporting individuals who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ACC), communication devices and other assistive communication technology Knowledge and application of evidence-based assessment and intervention for communication and/or dysphagia in neuro-rehabilitation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritise workload effectively.
