Summary

Criminal Justice - Recovery Worker

Worthing, BN11

3-month temporary cover

£16-£22ph Umbrella - dependent on experience

37.5 hours | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Wednesday late shift: 12pm-8pm on a rota basis

Pay Guide - Umbrella

  • 12 months' experience: £16-£18ph

  • 1-3 years: £18-£20ph

  • 3+ years: Up to £22ph

We're recruiting for an experienced

Recovery Worker / Recovery Coordinator to join a specialist substance misuse service in Worthing.

You'll support adults involved with the

criminal justice system, helping them address substance misuse, reduce harm and work towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of substance misuse clients.
  • Complete assessments, recovery plans and ongoing reviews.
  • Deliver recovery, harm reduction and structured interventions.
  • Support clients involved with the
  • criminal justice system, including DRRs and licence conditions.

  • Visit
  • Probation services and Courts across the local area.

  • Complete professional reports, case notes and attend multi-agency meetings.
  • Work closely with Probation, Police, HMP services and other partner agencies.
  • Support clients with wider needs including housing, employment, health and wellbeing.
  • Occasionally travel to other areas of
  • West Sussex where required.

About You

  • Strong Recovery Worker or Recovery Coordinator experience within substance misuse is essential.

  • Previous
  • Criminal Justice Recovery experience is highly desirable but not essential.

  • Confident managing a caseload and working independently.
  • Strong assessment, intervention and report-writing skills.
  • Comfortable working with Probation, Courts and other criminal justice partners.
  • Car driver desirable but not essential. Local Probation services and Courts are accessible on foot, although occasional travel to other areas of West Sussex may be required.
