Would you enjoy a practical, creative role where you can help adults with learning disabilities build confidence, independence and new skills?

Forever Savvy is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Support Worker / Job Coach to join our friendly team at Creative Savvy. This is a varied and meaningful role supporting adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities to build confidence, independence and practical life skills.

You will support people to take part in purposeful, hands-on activities such as gardening, woodworking, creative projects and everyday learning. At Creative Savvy, this could mean helping to grow produce in our allotment-style garden or creating handmade wooden products from recycled pallets, while encouraging each person to develop skills and take pride in what they achieve.

This role could be a great fit if you are patient, encouraging and enjoy helping people try new things. Previous social care experience is not essential: we will provide the training and development you need to feel confident in the role.

What You’ll Do:

• Support and inspire individuals with learning disabilities in creative activities, gardening, woodworking, and practical life skills

• Help build confidence, independence, and workplace skills

• Be a positive role model and create a supportive, encouraging environment

• Work three days per week during daytime hours: 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

• Promote teamwork, life skills, and personal development

• Transport clients safely to and from centres, using your own vehicle with appropriate business insurance

• You will be paid for your working time from the point you collect the first client. Mileage is reimbursed from that point; travel from your home to the first client, and from the final client back home, is not paid.

Why Join Us?

• A rewarding job where your support helps people gain confidence and independence

• A supportive team and welcoming workplace

• Varied, creative and practical activities, including gardening and woodworking

• Full training provided, so social care experience is not essential

• Permanent part-time work with family-friendly daytime hours

What We’re Looking For:

• A passion for making a difference

• Comfortable working outdoors and supporting practical, creative activities

• Experience or interest in gardening, woodworking, crafts, or supporting adults with learning disabilities

• A friendly, motivating presence with a can-do attitude

• A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and appropriate business insurance are essential. You will transport clients safely to and from centres and may provide cover at other Forever Savvy centres when needed.

• This role is subject to a standard DBS check and satisfactory references

What matters most is your attitude. We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable, patient and willing to learn. If you enjoy helping people, being creative and working as part of a team, this could be the right role for you.

TO APPLY:

To request an application form or have an informal chat about the role, call 07930 367447, or email StaceyBedford@foreversavvy.co.uk.

Applications will remain open until we appoint the right person, so early applications are encouraged.

If you are looking for a hands-on, positive role where your encouragement can make a genuine difference, we would love to hear from you. You do not need to tick every box: if you share our values and are willing to learn, please get in touch.

Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding: Forever Savvy is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates. We are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support. The successful applicant will be required to complete a standard DBS check and follow our safeguarding policies and procedures.
