Summary
The NHS Transforming People Services (TPS) programme sits at the heart of delivering the NHS 10 Year Health Plan — creating a workforce that is empowered, flexible and digitally enabled to meet the evolving needs of patients and communities.
This is more than a transformation role, it is an opportunity to redefine how people services are delivered across the NHS and directly influence the experience of one of the largest workforces in the world.
The Senior OD Transformation Lead will play a key leadership role in delivering the Organisational Development (OD) transformation agenda. The postholder will lead the regional implementation of future People services and transformation initiatives, ensuring national designs are successfully adopted and embedded across the NHS.
Working closely with national, regional and local stakeholders, the role will be responsible for supporting organisations to build capability, strengthen leadership, enhance culture and deliver sustainable workforce transformation across organisational boundaries. The postholder will act as a critical link between national programme design and local delivery, ensuring regions are equipped, engaged and supported to realise the benefits of transformation and create high-performing, inclusive organisations.
· Lead the large-scale OD, workforce transformation and culture change across the South West.
· Use highly honed stakeholder engagement skills, to influence senior leaders and build commitment to change.
· Understand the complexity of the region(s) you support, help them navigate the change, ensuring successful adoption of national designs and service models.
· Monitor progress, benefits and outcomes, ensuring transformation activity delivers measurable improvements in workforce capability, staff experience and organisational performance.
Most importantly, you will be part of a team delivering change that improves the experience of the NHS workforce and supporting better outcomes for patients and communities nationwide.

In March 2025,the Government announcedthat NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care will increasingly merge functions, ultimately leading to NHS England being fully integrated into the department.
If you currently work within the NHS and if successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).
