Job Role
My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company.
They are currently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis, a Senior Engineer to join their team who are presently delivering a major Civil Engineering project in Plymouth, Devon.
Duties
- Review specifications & drawings, as well as documents prepared by the subcontractor (ITP, RAMS).
- Ensure that inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works are being implemented and adhered to.
- Propose any optimisations of constructability, producing high level construction methodologies to support procurement, interface management and early consenting requirements (logistics, noise, access etc)
- Monitor effectiveness of the H&S management System
- Assist the Package Manager to lead risk/opportunity reviews, present the Risk Register and recommend/implement changes
- Ensure production of operational milestones reflect master schedule and customer expectations
- Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors' attendance, and records of work-related discussions with Client / Designer / Supply Chain / Project Team.
Develop/monitor/report against resource allocation plans in line with scope and outputs
Person Specification
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering construction techniques, sequencing, and best practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of working to and implementing construction contracts
- HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant subject matter
- Hold a valid CSCS
- SMSTS
