Summary

Join Our TeamWe are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individual support to a pupil, helping them access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.This rewarding role involves working closely with a young person to support their educational, emotional, physical, and social development within a safe and inclusive learning environment. You will play a vital role in helping the pupil engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and make positive progress towards their future goals.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting the PupilProvide tailored 1:1 support to meet the pupil's individual educational, emotional, and physical needs.Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school life.Support the development of work, learning, social, and life skills.Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, independence, and achievement.Provide personal care and emotional support where required.Administer simple first aid and support the pupil's health and safety needs.Maintain accurate records and report any concerns relating to safeguarding, wellbeing, or progress.Supporting Teaching and LearningWork alongside teachers to deliver and adapt learning activities.Observe, monitor, and report on pupil progress and achievements.Prepare learning resources and assist in maintaining an effective learning environment.Contribute to recording and monitoring systems.Support learning activities both inside and outside the classroom.Provide supervision of individuals or groups when required.About YouEssential RequirementsLevel 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualification (or equivalent).Basic ICT skills.Experience supporting children or young people in a formal or informal setting.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.A professional, reliable, and positive approach.Ability to use initiative and work independently.Commitment to continuous professional development.Desirable RequirementsLevel 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.Experience working within an educational or care setting.Knowledge of safeguarding best practice.Experience using technology and recording systems.Additional relevant qualifications or training.Strong ICT skills.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who:Is caring, patient, and committed to making a difference.Is punctual, professional, and approachable.Can respond positively to challenges.Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people.Is willing to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to wider school life.Can use their own skills, interests, and creativity to enrich the pupil's experience.Values wellbeing for both themselves and others.Why Join Us?This is an opportunity to make a real difference in a young person's life by providing the individual support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
