Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning, ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality, inclusive education. This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons, supporting children with a range of needs, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging and positive learning environment. Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and a HLTA qualification (or working towards).

Have experience delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning.

Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.

Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning.

Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents.

Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding. About Lightwater Village Infant and Junior schoolOur school stands at the heart of the village community of Lightwater.
