Summary

Your new company

A well-established and growing organisation is seeking a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to support key record-to-report activities within a busy finance function and make an immediate impact.

Your new role

Reporting to the finance manager, you will be responsible for supporting the month-end process and delivering accurate financial information to support business decision-making.Key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts

Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances

Supporting the month-end and year-end close process

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring accounting controls are followed

Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments

Analysing financial data and providing reports to stakeholders

Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities

Supporting record-to-report processes across the wider finance function

Working collaboratively with operational and finance teams to resolve queries

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Part-qualified status (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant management accounting experience

Previous experience within a management accounting, assistant management accounting or assistant accountant role

Experience supporting month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

The ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships

What you'll get in return
