Summary

2nd Line Support Engineer

Plymouth | £45,000

Our client is seeking a strong 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their growing internal IT function. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys providing high-quality support, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services across a busy organisation.

Working as part of a collaborative IT team, you'll provide 2nd line support to end users, maintain core infrastructure, and play a key role in ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and efficient.

Key
Responsibilities

Provide

2nd

line

support

end

users.

Troubleshoot

hardware,

software

and

network

issues.

Manage

and

resolve

support

tickets

efficiently.

Support

Microsoft

365

and

user

administration.

Assist

with

device

deployment

and

user

onboarding.

Work

with

third-party

suppliers

when

required.

Contribute

projects

and

system

improvements.

Maintain

technical

documentation

and

best

practices.

Help

ensure

systems

remain

secure

and

reliable.

Skills and Experienced Required

Minimum 4 years of 2nd Line IT Experience

TCP/IP Networking and DNS

Powershell Scripting

Active Directory & Group Policy

Windows 11

Office 365 Suite

Hardware & Printer Support

Troubleshooting

Desirable Skills include:

Hyper-V

Cisco Networking

SQL Server

Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
