Summary

Springcare - Care Home Operations Manager

Location: Northern & Central England.

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with participation in on-call rota

Contract Type: Permanent

Travel: Required across multiple Springcare sites

*Please note: Our Head Office is based in Whitchurch, and you will be required to attend the office regularly alongside our other Operations Managers. The area of responsibility for this position is Northern & Central England.

Are you a dynamic and experienced leader in the care sector looking to make a real difference? Springcare is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager, who is an experienced RGN, to oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of care homes, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and team performance.

As part of our Operations Management Team, you will work closely with Home Managers, Deputy Managers, and staff teams to create safe, nurturing environments where vulnerable adults thrive. You'll play a critical role in supporting and inspiring our teams to achieve excellence across care delivery, compliance, and business outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead, support, and develop Home Managers and Deputies across multiple sites

Drive continuous compliance with CQC, local authority, and internal standards

Oversee service quality, resident safety, and care outcomes

Monitor and improve performance through audits, KPIs, and action planning

Represent Springcare in key stakeholder meetings, including CQC and Local Authorities

Support homes through complaints management, unannounced visits, and risk assessments

Provide reports, insights, and strategic input to the Senior Management Team

Contribute to company-wide quality plans, policies, and staff development initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

✔ A Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification

✔ NVQ Level 5 in Management (Level 7 desirable)

✔ Proven experience in operations management

✔ Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance

✔ Experience in managing budgets and occupancy

✔ Excellent leadership, coaching, and people development skills

✔ Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvements

✔ Willingness to travel and participate in out-of-hours support

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of dementia care best practices

Experience with policy development, quality assurance, and service turnaround

Understanding of GDPR and safeguarding practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
