Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Referral Management & Safety Netting Coordinator to join our Operations Team. This is a pivotal role supporting the safe and effective management of patient referrals across the practice, ensuring timely access to secondary care services and maintaining robust patient safety processes. The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians, operational teams, hospitals, and patients to ensure referrals are processed accurately, monitored effectively, and escalated appropriately where concerns arise. Key Responsibilities Referral Management Process routine, urgent, and specialist referrals generated by clinicians in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure referrals contain all necessary clinical information and supporting documentation. Utilise NHS referral systems, including e-RS, to manage referrals effectively. Monitor referral progress and ensure successful receipt by secondary care providers. Follow up outstanding or delayed referrals as appropriate. [6. Monitor acknowledgements, appointment bookings, and referral outcomes. Escalate delays, rejections, or concerns promptly to the relevant clinician or manager.
