Summary

Main Duties and Responsibilities To work as part of the Digital Programme Team and be responsible for managing all supporting interdependent projects. Develop and monitor project plans ensuring that they are up to date and consistent with the agreed project scope. To be responsible for day-to-day decisions relating to the management of the project, including resources and skills required, implementation of project controls, making recommendations on changes to the specifications, budgets and schedules to the Project Sponsor. Understand interdependencies between projects and key deliverables and examine causes of delays in meeting planned project targets. Work to resolve the obstacles identified. To prepare and deliver regular highlight reports, including detailed analysis of variances with planned expectations for the relevant Project Sponsor. Where realignment of baseline project elements is required to prepare and deliver change requests including detailed analysis of variances with planned expectations for the relevant Project Sponsor. Maintain project governance, including risk, issues and action logs for the project, and have responsibility for escalating these appropriately to the Project Sponsor and Project Board, providing appropriate mitigation is in place together with options required to address issues. Developing and implementing qualitative and quantitative measures to determine and evaluate the benefits arising from the project. Ensuring all documents and reports are prepared and delivered as specified in the portfolio management framework and in line with agreed reporting schedules. Planning and co-ordinating the activity of project team members, stakeholders and contributors, ensuring that tasks and work packages are completed satisfactorily and on schedule. To support Project Board meetings, persuading and negotiating with stakeholders to motivate delivery of the project; assessing progress and addressing issues to ensure project standards are maintained and to achieve agreed objectives To prepare and deliver a closure report for the project, identifying lessons learned and reporting on final outcomes/delivery of project objectives and obtain approval to close the project from the Project Sponsor. Undertaking post project evaluations to determine whether the project delivered the required outcomes and identify any negative impacts on quality of care, or patient safety. Communication and relationships Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with the project team members, staff, senior managers and other key stakeholders. Report and present complex and contentious information in a variety of different formats, tailored to meet the needs and expectations of different audiences. Requirement for regular contact with internal and external stakeholders, including service users; communicating sensitive and complex information, resolving issues and delivering clear and concise information through detailed reports and presentations. Acting as a change agent, securing clinical and non-clinical engagement and involving staff in the development and delivery of services and projects. Translating complex or sensitive information relating to projects, systems and processes to ensure effective transfer of knowledge and understanding for key stakeholders. Responsible for the delivery of projects through persuading, negotiating and influencing staff to engage with projects; motivating others to challenge ways of working. To support teams through change, particularly where staff are uncertain or resistant to the proposed change. People Management Maintaining own professional development and requirement to take part in appraisal and KSF process Participate in the trusts Appraisal process Work with line manager to identify and implement an appropriate personal development plan. Clinical and Practice Governance Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to any information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. Any data that is taken/shared as part of a phone call or transported, faxed or transferred electronically must be undertaken with regard to the Trust Information Governance and Information Security policies. The post holder must adhere to the Trust risk assessment and risk management processes. The post holder must adhere to infection control policies and procedures. Undertake mandatory training and any other training relevant to the role as required by East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust. The post holder must participate in clinical and safeguarding audits as required. The post holder is required to participate in relevant emergency preparedness process for their team. Working conditions Flexibility and resilience are required due to working in a dynamic and fast paced team with competing prioritie The post holder will be expected to be able to meet the travel and flexible working requirements of the role. Ability to travel between sites and areas will be required. Ability to work remotely or from hot desk facilities at different sites is essential.
