Support Worker – South Tyneside (Jarrow)

Part-time: 18 hours per week (Days)

Contracted hours: 18 hours per week (2 week rolling rota, alternate weekends)

Salary: £13.10 per hour

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with adults with learning disabilities, autism

• Committed, empathetic, able to work in a team and on own initiative

• Good sense of humour

• Able to support sensory needs and triggers.

• Outgoing and passionate about improving the service user’s quality of life.

• Knowledge of positive behaviour support, risk assessments & de-escalation strategies.

• Proactive and motivated to look for new activities and experiences for the people we support.

• Strong communication skills
