About the Role
The Finance Assistant is an integral member of the Finance team and will work alongside the Assistant Supervisor (Accounts Payable) to support City Building’s accounts payable function and the overall financial strategy.
In this role you will support the end-to-end invoice processing cycle, ensuring payments are made in line with agreed terms, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. This involves accurately entering and verifying invoices in the AP system and processing payments to suppliers in a timely manner. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will resolve queries, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to continuous improvements that enhance efficiency, improve cash flow, and overall financial performance.
You will also be responsible for ensuring all mailbox queries are acknowledged and responded to promptly.
What You Will Bring
The post holder will be experienced working in a fast-paced administrative or finance function, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
You will be organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively, working both independently and as part of a busy team to deliver outcomes within agreed timescales.
As the Admin Assistant you will have a strong attention to detail ensuring that data is accurately entered into the systems that could impact key stakeholders and cash flow. You will demonstrate strong communication skills as you will be required to liaise with suppliers and support service areas to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
An administration qualification (or equivalent), knowledge of SAP and Servitor, and experience in an accounts payable function is advantageous.
