Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 27 for a full time Clinical Support Worker to join our team.

Ward 27 is a 29 bedded Acute Medical Ward for Care of the Elderly patients.

A Clinical Support Worker (CSW) is responsible for providing healthcare to patients and supporting with clinical duties under the supervision of Registered Nurses, doctors and other registered healthcare professionals.

Their role is essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients during their hospital admission ensuring they receive high quality care.

• Provide and support patients as necessary with delivering both personal and clinical care activities relevant to training.

• Maintain accurate records of the patient’s care, documenting as appropriate on the Electronic Patient Record (Cerner) in line with Trust, professional and departmental guidelines.

• Observe patients and reports any changes to a Registered professional for review.

• Report any abnormal findings directly to the registered professional in charge or doctor.

• Undertake a range of basic housekeeping, stock control and administrative duties within the clinical environment.

• Carrying out 1:1 with patients who is requiring enhanced observations, high risk of falls or requiring close monitering.

• Actively engage with patients through positive interaction such as conversations , games.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
