Summary

Band 5 Staff Nurse – 12-Month FTC 

Location:Eden Ward, Wexham Park Hospital

We are seeking  a compassionate and motivatedBand 5 Staff Nurseto join our Eden Ward team, supporting patients in cancer and chemotherapy services. This is an excellent opportunity to gain specialist experience with full support to develop your skills and confidence in delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients receiving chemotherapy

Support daily patient list coordination and workload allocation

Administer chemotherapy safely (training provided)

Triage and assess patients using the UKONS system

About You:

Motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative team player

Keen to develop skills in oncology and chemotherapy care

Committed to excellent patient-centred care

Newly qualified nurses from UK universities are welcome; you will receive preceptorship, mentoring, and ongoing development.

•    Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual patient care with minimal supervision. 

•    To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that treatments are correctly carried out in accordance with given policy. 

•    Responsible for the assessment of complex care needs of chemotherapy patients and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. 

•    Lead and monitor the performance and standards of care within the Nursing Team. 

•    Work collaboratively with the other members of cancer services team to facilitate the development of the service
