We’re looking for an experienced KS3 English teacher or English education content writer to support the development of high-quality curriculum and assessment content for our EdTech platforms.
You’ll work on individual projects creating engaging, accurate and appropriately challenging English resources for Key Stage 3 pupils.
This would suit a current or former secondary English teacher, subject specialist or experienced education writer looking for flexible freelance projects alongside other commitments.
What you'll be working on
Depending on the project, you may be asked to:
Write curriculum-aligned KS3 English content
Create assessment questions, answers and marking guidance
Develop reading texts and accompanying comprehension questions
Create resources covering reading, writing, grammar and language skills
Develop questions across different levels of challenge
Write scripts for educational English videos
Review and validate existing English content
Proofread and edit resources for accuracy, clarity and age appropriateness
Check that content reflects relevant KS3 curriculum requirements
Consider progression in English knowledge and skills across KS3
Create a suitable variety of question types to assess pupils' understanding
Projects will be provided with a clear brief, requirements and agreed deadline.
