Working within Roads Operations, the post holder will provide, as part of a team, a comprehensive service relating to the construction and maintenance of roads and footpaths.

You will be responsible for carrying out various activities of a general labouring nature, providing support and assistance to skilled and specialist operatives. This will include working with appropriate tools, plant and equipment.

The post holder will participate in the delivery of the Roads Winter Service, which includes standby and shift working as required and may involve being part of a service crew, driving vehicles that do not require a HGV licence such as vans and mini tractors and / or hand clearing and gritting. The post holder will also participate in the delivery of Roads Emergency Service provision, including out of hours standby if required.
