Are you confident teaching Food Preparation and Nutrition across KS3 and KS4?
TeacherActive is proud to be working a mixed secondary school , to recruit a Food Technology Teacher. The school promotes an ethos of "Achievement through Caring" and has developed a culture centred around kindness, integrity and empathy.
The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher for supply, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons across the secondary age range. The successful Food Technology Teacher will be expected to maintain strong behaviour for learning, adapt teaching to meet individual needs, check students' understanding and support pupils studying Food Preparation and Nutrition, including GCSE students.
The successful Food Technology Teacher will have:
• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• A relevant Food Technology, Food Preparation and Nutrition or Design Technology specialism
• Experience teaching within a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, including Food Preparation and Nutrition
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to deliver safe, purposeful practical lessons
• A creative, adaptable and professional approach with high expectations for students
