Summary
Management of a growing team of practitioners in ensuring the safe delivery of care and support to women and birthing people in the perinatal period.
The Outreach Team works with the people within this cohort who have more complex needs, for example being nursed on an acute mental health ward or admitted to maternity whilst struggling with their mental health.
The post holder will –
1. Provide clinical leadership, supervision, support, and consultation to nursing staff
and MDT staff in the Specialist Perinatal Service, in line with relevant clinical
pathways as outlined within the operational procedures.
2. Manage and evaluate a caseload in line with relevant clinical pathway as
outlined within the operational procedure and will include:
Assessment
Formulation
Therapeutic intervention as required
Signposting
Close working with all colleagues
To be responsible for a complex caseload
3. Act as a duty assessor
