u What youand#39;ll do: /u

Lead and support the financial management of Sunderlandand#39;s revenue budget.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to take on the role of Principal Accountant (Revenue) within our Financial Management Team.

Reporting to the Strategic Finance Manager for Corporate and City Services, you will provide operational leadership and coordination for the Counciland#39;s Revenue Budget.

u The role will involve: /u

Leading the day-to-day financial management of the Counciland#39;s Revenue Budget.

Supporting budget holders and senior officers with financial planning, monitoring and forecasting, through to revenue closedown and support with the preparation of the Statement of Accounts.

Ensuring robust governance arrangements for the Counciland#39;s revenue budgets.

Coordinating revenue budget monitoring, reporting and grant claims.

Providing professional financial advice on complex revenue finance matters.

Excellent communication skills are a must, as is the ability to foster productive and inclusive working relationships within the finance team, the wider Council and with partners.andnbsp;

You will be:

A CCAB-qualified accountant.

Experienced in financial management, budgeting and forecasting.

Able to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Confident in analysing and presenting complex financial information.

Organised, proactive and committed to delivering high-quality financial support.
