Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be based within a Year 5 classroom, supporting teaching and learning throughout the school day. You will play an active role in the classroom, working closely with the class teacher to engage pupils, promote positive behaviour and contribute to a productive learning environment.

The role will involve supporting the whole class alongside providing support to individual pupils with additional needs. You will help pupils access the curriculum, encourage independence and ensure all children are fully engaged in their learning.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school

Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

Confidence working within a whole-class environment

Experience supporting children with additional needs

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
