Summary

Vehicle Technician – Selly Oak, Birmingham

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Technician to join a busy main dealership workshop in Selly Oak, Birmingham. Applicants must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have at least 1 year of Vehicle Technician experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. MOT Tester status is advantageous but not essential.

Job Details

Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham

Salary: £32,000–£36,000 basic

Bonus: £6,000–£9,000 on top

Additional Payment: £91 per month for MOT-qualified Technicians

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, plus alternate Saturdays 8:30am–1:00pm paid as overtime

Vehicle Technician Role

- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical faults

- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance

- Use diagnostic equipment and software to identify vehicle faults

- Complete repairs to a high standard

- Record work completed and parts used accurately

- Advise on repair requirements where needed

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment

Vehicle Technician Requirements

- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent

- At least 1 year of experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic

- Confident using diagnostic equipment and software

- Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills

- MOT Tester Licence is advantageous but not essential

- Full UK Driving Licence

- Right to work in the UK
