Summary

What's involved with this role:

Triumph Consultants are looking for a PT Insurance Officer to support the Council’s insurance function, handling claims administration, maintaining accurate records and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Contract is for 6 months in Teignbridge TQ12 4XX.

PT Insurance Officer

Pay Rate: £18.04 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 22.5 hours per week over 3 days, 9:00-17:00

Contract length: 6 months

Location: Teignbridge TQ12 4XX

Hybrid - 2 days in the office and 1 day from home. Working days can be agreed

Key requirements:

• Level 3 Certificate in Insurance or equivalent.

• GCSEs (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent in English and Maths.

• Practical experience of insurance claims handling and providing insurance advice.

• Experience maintaining customer relations databases and using Microsoft 365, including Excel, Teams and Outlook.

• Accurate, organised and confident communicator, able to prioritise workload and work independently or as part of a team.

Key responsibilities:

• Support insurance claims from initial notification through to resolution.

• Liaise with colleagues, brokers, insurers, claims handlers, solicitors and loss adjusters to progress claims.

• Maintain the insurance claims database and assist with system development and reporting.

• Assist with annual insurance renewal documentation and provide insurance-related advice where appropriate.

• Contribute to reports for senior officers, members and partner groups while delivering a customer-focused service.
