Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable Main Dealer in Stafford for a skilled Vehicle Technician. This is a permanent Vehicle Technician opportunity within a well-established automotive workshop that offers a supportive and professional environment. The Vehicle Technician role provides the chance to enhance your technical skills, including manufacturer accreditation and Electric Vehicle (EV) expertise, within a friendly team dedicated to high standards of service.

- 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday mornings

Duties:

- Conduct vehicle health checks using advanced diagnostic equipment

- Service vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer specifications

- Diagnose faults and perform additional repairs with customer approval

- Complete warranty repairs as per manufacturer standards

- Maintain accurate job records and paperwork

- Perform road tests to ensure fault rectification

- Collaborate effectively with the service and workshop team to uphold high standards of workmanship

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or an equivalent qualification

- Proven experience in light vehicle servicing and repair within a dealership or independent garage

- Valid UK driving licence

- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills

- Committed to delivering exceptional quality and workmanship

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Eagerness to develop skills through manufacturer training; diagnostic, MOT, and EV experience are advantageous but not essential

- Previous experience with specific vehicle manufacturers is desirable
