Summary
Teaching and Learning Support Assistant required as soon as possible Contract: Full Time (Temporary until July 2027)
Salary range: £29,561 - £30,405 (pro rata)Would you like to make a positive difference to the lives of our students and support our school?We are a popular and welcoming four form entry junior school, in a new purpose built building and expanding to five forms of entry. No day is ever the same with our 480 pupils, half of whom are multilingual and we celebrate our diversity.
We are looking for a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to support a year five class which includes students with Autism, ADHD and some social, emotional ,behavioural need. An understanding of how to support children with learning and emotional needs is beneficial although full training can be given for an eager candidate. The hours of work will be 8.30- 3.30 p.m. daily. The successful candidate must have relevant qualifications and experience or a strong desire to learn and make a difference. Salary will be Scale C (point depending on experience). There is also a possibility of additional hours at our afterschool club (details and experience will be discussed at the interview).
As part of this role you will also be required to carry out a daily half an hour lunchtime duty. This will be arranged between 12.30 - 1.30 p.m.

Who has an empathetic approach yet be firm and fair.
With experience of working with children who have social and emotional difficulties.With experience of working with children with Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour. With an understanding of children’s learning needs and how to get the best from individual children
Who has experience working with KS1 or KS2 children (further qualifications an advantage i.e. NNEB or NVQ Level 3).
Able to work as part of a team, building positive relationships with pupils, parents /carers, staff.
Who has high expectations of pupil’s achievements regarding learning, independence and behaviour.
Able to show initiative and be prepared to take responsibility for individual children or a small group.
