The Role

We're recruiting for a

Transport Supervisor on a temporary basis, with a

temp to perm opportunity possibly available for the right candidate. You'll support the smooth running of day-to-day transport operations, ensuring deliveries run safely, efficiently and in line with compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily transport activity, coordinating drivers and workload to meet service levels

Ensure compliance with

drivers' hours, tachograph regulations and Working Time Directive (WTD)

Manage driver brief/debrief, address issues on shift and escalate where needed

Liaise with transport team to keep goods moving and resolve delays

Maintain accurate transport paperwork and records (PODs, incident reports, KPI data)

Support vehicle checks/defect reporting and coordinate maintenance needs

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a

transport supervisor / transport coordinator / transport planning role

Good knowledge of UK transport compliance (drivers' hours, tacho, WTD)

Strong communication skills and confidence managing drivers and priorities

Organised, proactive, and able to stay calm under pressure

Comfortable using transport systems and basic admin/IT
