Summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machine Operator (Horizontal Borer) to join an established engineering operation in Fife, Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served CNC Machine Operator with Oil & Gas experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and has strong attention to detail.

Role Details

Location: Fife, Scotland

Salary: £17.01 per hour basic / £23.15 per hour including shift allowance

Job Type: Full-time

Shifts: Rotating day and night shifts

Holiday: 27 days per year pro rata, including public holidays

Pension: 5% employer contribution

Life Assurance: Included

About the Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC horizontal boring machinery and producing precision components in line with engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.

The role requires accuracy, reliability and a strong commitment to quality, health and safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Set, operate and program CNC control systems

Produce components to engineering drawings and specifications

Work with Fanuc and GL control systems where required

Interpret Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensure all requirements are met

Complete Job Instruction Sheet tasks in line with procedures

Maintain accurate component identification and traceability

Carry out quality checks and complete inspection documentation

Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity and efficiency

Follow lean manufacturing and good housekeeping principles

Ensure health and safety and tooling procedures are followed

Support training and knowledge sharing where required

Work to meet customer quality and delivery requirements
