Summary

Warehouse Operative – Temp to Perm

Salary: Minimum Wage

Shift Pattern: 40 hours one week / 35 hours the following week

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy and friendly warehouse team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a varied role that would suit someone who is reliable, hands-on and enjoys working in a busy warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be involved in general warehouse duties, equipment preparation, data entry and maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

There is also the opportunity to receive forklift training, with the company covering the cost once you have successfully completed your probation.

Key Responsibilities

• Putting stock and equipment away in the correct locations.

• Preparing and organising items for post-outs and dispatch.

• Cleaning and refurbishing equipment to the required standard.

• Sorting and organising warehouse equipment.

• Completing basic data entry and updating records accurately.

• Checking items and equipment for condition and quality.

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse.

• Keeping warehouse areas clear and ensuring good housekeeping standards.

• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.

• Following company health and safety procedures.

• Working as part of a team to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment.

• Organised and able to follow instructions.

• Happy carrying out a variety of different duties.

• Comfortable using a computer for basic data entry.

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining a tidy workplace.

• Keen to learn and develop new skills.

Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential as the right attitude and work ethic are just as important.

• 37.5 hours per week, with a rotating 40-hour / 35-hour weekly pattern.
