Summary

Your new company

We are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to join a busy team based at a large manufacturing facility near Wrexham. Working on a 4 on 4 off-shift pattern, you will manage planned and reactive maintenance.

Your new role

You will carry out all aspects of plant maintenance to a planned schedule, seeking solutions where abnormalities occur to prevent a negative impact on production and quality standards. Liaise with the mill production team to address breakdowns or interruptions to production, dealing promptly with any issues and escalate where necessary in order to minimise downtime.

  • Ensure all relevant maintenance records are accurately recorded to ensure legal compliance and to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assess requirements and co-ordinate with the mill management team to allocate resources to meet changing business and customer needs.
  • Liaise with other operational areas to ensure the efficient flow of information so all internal and external customer requirements are met.
  • Maintain adequate engineering resources of materials and equipment, effectively liaising with suppliers to meet the needs of the department.
  • Drive continuous improvement, reviewing current methodology and opportunities to improve the mills' efficiency, safety, quality and performance.
  • Manage and maintain all the site's waste to the correct environmental agency standards.
  • Undertake any reasonable task related to the operation of the mill as required and as directed by the management team.

What you'll need to succeed

We are seeking an experienced engineer with City and Guilds/NVQ level 3 in related engineering qualifications, and supporting 18th edition for mechanical-biased engineers experienced within manufacturing/production environment..

  • Good experience and understanding of both Health & Safety and Environmental regulations and their impacts.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems.
  • Computer literate and experience of working with Microsoft programmes.
