TEC Partnership is made up of four colleges, two training providers, a 14-16 provision and a nursery, stretching from Scarborough to Skegness with a Nottingham based campus also.

At TEC Partnership we offer high‑quality education, innovative training, and life‑changing opportunities to thousands of learners each year. Our teams are passionate about making a real difference and now, we’re looking for someone who shares that commitment to join us in the role of Business Development Consultant.

About the role

Help employers find great people. Help people find their next opportunity.

It’s an exciting time to join NET Training. We’re growing our work across Lincolnshire, developing new programmes and building partnerships with employers of all sizes – from the NHS and major household names to local SMEs.

Our offer is incredibly diverse, from Teaching Assistant and healthcare programmes to SIA, Construction, Warehousing, Customer Service, Business Administration and Employability. Whatever the sector, our aim is simple: training should lead somewhere.

With a strong track record of helping learners progress into employment and hundreds of employer partnerships already established, we know the difference the right training and recruitment solution can make.

As our Business Development Consultant, you’ll build new employer relationships, grow existing accounts and understand the recruitment and skills challenges facing Lincolnshire businesses. You’ll then work with our teams to create the right solution – from SWAPs and funded training to bespoke and commercial programmes.

This is more than selling courses. It’s about spotting opportunities, creating partnerships and connecting great employers with their future workforce. If you’re commercially minded, great with people and want a role where you can see the impact you make, we’d love to hear from you.

About the person

The successful candidate will have experience of employer engagement, sales or business development, with the confidence to develop new relationships and effectively manage existing employer accounts.

They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand an employer's needs, identify opportunities and build strong, trusted relationships. They will be customer-focused, proactive and confident in promoting training and workforce development solutions.

Strong organisation and self-management skills are essential, including the ability to manage a pipeline of activity, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work towards agreed targets.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, adaptable and commercially aware, with a good understanding of the local labour market and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.

Applicants should have a good standard of literacy and numeracy and a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience. Experience or knowledge of the education, training or skills sector would also be beneficial.
