Summary

The post holder will apply advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making. Will act as an autonomous practitioner working independently and will exercise expert clinical practice in assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and development of medical treatment plans for patients with neurological needs, complex presentations and multi pathologies. The role will provide an expert resource, providing a visible clinical profile, having both advisory and clinical input into patient care. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. Works collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team including medical, nursing and allied health staff to manage medical conditions and to plan and implement treatment for illnesses. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, this role will provide education to other staff and students within the clinical area.
